KWL GRID        LIFE CYCLES EXAMPLE

A KWL grid can be used in planning at the beginning of a topic or to follow progress. It highlights prior knowledge, can be used as a starting point for investigations, indicates areas of interest, promotes researching skills and can be used for assessment.

Columns are completed at different stages of a topic.

It can be used by individuals, in groups or as a class depending on its intended purpose.
