Strands & Targets in Guidelines

This is the Target Group Menu for a group of targets from the Science Framework for Planning
Group 3  Making materials change
This way for Group 4 - Energy

In what ways do heating & cooling change the properties of objects? What makes things suitable for their purpose?
Big Idea -
What impact will new materials have on our lives?
CfE (Materials - Properties and uses) (Level First) - SCN 115X - I have explored the properties of different materials and can use my experience to choose appropriate materials to solve a practical challenge.
CfE (Planet Earth - Sustainability) (Level First) - SCN 101A - Through my experience of different materials which I use, I can talk about the need to conserve Earth’s resources at home and in school and what I can do to help.
CfE (Forces and Motion) (Level Early) - SCN 008L - Through playing with familiar objects of different shapes and materials, I can ask questions, test out my ideas and report the findings back to my group.
CfE (Topical Science) (Level First) - SCN 116BB - I have contributed to a class display of current scientific news items to help me develop an awareness of topical science.
