1. Worksheet A12a (G) - ‘This is me’ can be used for the children to record information about themselves and draw themselves in the box.
2. When comparing themselves with a friend they could look at height, eye colour, hair colour, skin pigmentation, freckles etc and record their findings in words or pictures on worksheet A12b (G)
3. An easy way to get pictures for the children to sort is to take pictures from a clothing or make-up catalogue and paste them onto cards.
4. Worksheets A12c (G) and A12d (G) can be used here. Worksheet A12c (G) can be used to make a large class bar chart as follows. Choose one of the features e.g. eye colour, and give each child a copy of that symbol, i.e. an eye picture. Let the children colour in their picture to match their own eye colour - blue, brown, green or grey.

Prepare some axes for a graph on the wall using pieces of wool stretched between drawing pins or draw the axes on the board or on a sheet of paper. Each child in turn then places their picture on the axes to make a large bar chart.

The completed chart can then be used to count how many of each type there is. The same can be done for other features.

Worksheet A12d (G) can be used for the children to make their own graph of the class results by colouring in one square for each child.
