LT-A2.1

1. Another useful game here would be the action song - ‘Heads, shoulders, knees and toes.’

2. Worksheet A14 (G) makes a game for the children to play along the lines of ‘beetle’. They throw the dice to see which body part they will get. The winner is the first one to collect all six parts to make a complete body.
3. It may be difficult to take the class out to visit an animal shelter or a zoo but it may be possible to have a few pets brought into the class by parents. Be careful not to stress any animals in the classroom - make sure the children know how to behave beforehand. Some zoos do have an education programme whereby animals are taken out to schools and this may be possible to arrange.

e.g. (Black Isle Wildlife Park)
