2. The children may be able to come up with lots of uses of magnets but some to keep in mind are magnetic door catches - used on a lot of cupboards, magnetic purse catches, magnetic strips on credit cards, fridge magnets, magnets in toys.

4. Worksheet B14 (G) can be used to record their findings.

Note that not all metals are attracted to magnets - only those containing iron. Make sure you provide some non-ferrous metals such as aluminium foil to demonstrate this point.
