2. The children may be able to come up with lots of uses of magnets but some to keep in mind are magnetic door catches - used on a lot of cupboards, magnetic purse catches, magnetic strips on credit cards, fridge magnets, magnets in toys. |
4. Worksheet B14 (G) can be used to record their findings.
Note that not all metals are attracted to magnets - only those containing iron. Make sure you provide some non-ferrous metals such as aluminium foil to demonstrate this point. |
