EF-D2.2

EF-D2.2 Describe how electrical energy is distributed to our homes
Electrical current flows from the power station through cables (usually supported by pylons).
Local substations pass the electricity through underground cables to our homes.
At home, the electricity passes from the electrical meter through wires in a ring around the house.

1 Use annotated diagrams to show how electricity is carried from power stations to our homes.
2 Draw up a simple list of rules for safe use of electricity in our homes.
