Describe the Solar system in terms of Earth, Sun and planets
 There are 9 planets in our solar system.
The names of the planets in order of distance from the Sun i.e. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto.

 

1 Brainstorm information known about the Solar System.
2 In groups, use reference books to obtain information about the planets in the Solar System.
Each group then report their findings back to the class.
3 Produce a wall display showing the relative sizes of planets.
