Describe the changes when materials are mixed
Materials can be changed by heating them, mixing different materials together and by dissolving them.
Some changes are reversible, some are not.
Making concrete is not reversible.

1 Make matchbox bricks from sand, water and cement, noting the effect of varying the proportions.
Make a short report of the investigation setting out the key findings.
2 Observe what happens when baking soda and vinegar are mixed and when an Alka Seltzer tablet is placed in water.
These are examples of chemical change.
