ES-A3.1

ES-A3.1 Make observations of the ways in which some materials can be changed by processes such as squashing, bending, twisting and stretching
Twisting and turning are forces which can cause change of shape.

1 Talk about how materials can be changed.
2 Find out which materials can be easily made to change.
Examine some that can be easily changed e.g. plasticine and some that cannot easily be changed, e.g. stone.
Examine a range of materials to find which is easiest to bend.
Find a way of measuring which material is easiest to stretch.
